How much does a session cost?

A 50-minute session costs €80 / £70.

A limited number of lower-cost sessions are available for those on lower incomes; please feel free to enquire about availability.

Payment is made by bank transfer at the time of the session.

How do I arrange an initial consultation call?

You can arrange an initial call by emailing me and including a little information about yourself and your reasons for seeking therapy. I aim to respond within 48 hours, and everything you share is treated as confidential.

What happens in the initial call?

The initial call lasts around 20 minutes. I will ask you about your reasons for seeking therapy, and you’ll have space to ask any questions. If we decide to work together, we will agree on a time and date for your first session.

How often will we meet?

Therapy works best when sessions are attended regularly, so I usually offer weekly sessions at the same time each week. Sessions last for 50 minutes, and we will review progress regularly.

How many sessions will I need?

There is no set number of sessions, as everyone comes to therapy for different reasons. Most clients attend a minimum of eight sessions. We can agree an initial block of sessions and review this together.

What happens if I need to cancel a session?

Sessions take place at an agreed weekly time and are reserved for you. For this reason, payment is required for all sessions, including those you need to cancel.

I do not charge for pre-agreed absences where at least one week’s notice is provided.

What happens if you are unavailable?

If I am unavailable for a session, there is no charge. I will give as much notice as possible and aim to offer an alternative where I can.

How do online sessions work?

Online sessions take place via Zoom. Before the first session, I will send you a private link. Please ensure you have a quiet, private space and a reliable internet connection.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I WANT TO END THERAPY SESSIONS?

You are free to end therapy at any time. Where possible, planning an ending in advance can be helpful so we can reflect on progress and bring the work to a thoughtful close.

If I ever feel it is appropriate to end sessions from my side, this would always be discussed with you, and I would help you consider alternative support if needed.

WHAT IF I NEED TO CONTACT YOU IN BETWEEN SESSIONS?

 I cannot guarantee to be available if you need to speak to me urgently between sessions. If you need a reply before our next scheduled session, please state this clearly in your message. Please note that outside of my normal working hours I might not check my emails or phone.

what happens if i need emergency support?

If you need urgent mental health support, please attend your local emergency department, contact your GP, or call emergency services (999 UK / 112 Europe).
